Flow Deposition for Greater Uniformity and Sensitivity

Printing Antibodies from Crude Lysates with the Continuous Flow Microspotter™

Exquisite Deposition using Flow
The Continuous Flow Microspotter™ (CFM) is a patent-pending device that uses flow to deposit biomolecules on sensor surfaces. Unlike other systems which deposit droplets of material en masse onto a surface, the CFM uses flow to uniformly deposit biomolecules on an array surface. This technology represents a paradigm shift in molecular deposition, going far beyond existing contact and noncontact printers.

Features and Advantages of the CFM Technology

By using a parallel network of microchannels to cycle small volume fluid samples over a surface, the CFM enables optimal binding and deposition from dilute or precious solutions. When coupled with functionalized surfaces, this allows for concentration enhancement on the microspot, yielding higher sensitivity assay performance and reducing the need for upstream purification.
