The 48 Spot CFM Print head
The 48 Spot CFM print head uses a network of microchannels to deposit 48 samples at one time in a 4 x 12 block.  The spots are 400 microns square with a pitch of 875 microns.  Array design and layout are flexible and Wasatch offers solutions to meet specific geometry requirements. The print head’s microchannels are integrated within a 96 well microtiter plate for ease in sample handling.  The print head is operated by pressing the soft silicone tip against a smooth surface to form a seal around the spot deposition chambers.  The samples are then drawn from the loading wells to the pumping wells, causing them to pass through the microchannels and over the slide surface.  The samples can be cycled back and forth until the desired deposition level is achieved.
